CHAIRMAN + BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

KENT HALVORSON

Kent has been a leading contractor and developer across the West Coast and Hawaii for more than 45 years, delivering projects in hospitality, entertainment, aviation support, senior living, and retail.

Tourism at the Grand Canyon South Rim has long been part of the family’s legacy. They own and operate Buck Wild Hummer Tours, a Spaghetti Western–themed restaurant, and the Grand Canyon IMAX Theater, as well as the Halvorson Family aviation companies—Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines & Papillon, Grand Canyon Helicopter, and Rainer Heli‑Lift—serving Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon South Rim, and Page, Arizona.

Across his career, Kent has completed more than 300 construction projects in 18 states, including over 30 hotel developments, primarily for Marriott and Hilton brands. In 2018, he and his business partner shifted from operating a 120‑employee construction firm to a specialized development company focused on their own projects, including the 20‑acre Harvest Development, the Somm Hotel & Spa, and the 31‑unit River Run Townhomes.

Kent is excited for a new chapter alongside long-time colleagues at TCI, Inc.
